BEREA, OH - The track and field team wrapped up the 2024 season over the weekend, with five athletes competing at the Harrison Dillard Twilight Meet at Baldwin Wallace University. The team saw four PBs and two school records out of the five events in a positive end to the year.
Lexie Engstrom broke her own school record in the open 800m run with a time of 2:21.53, placing 27th out of a field of 45 athletes in a majority of NCAA competition.
Abigail Kobs came up with a 35-second PB in the 3000m steeplechase to break her own school record with a time of 12:25.21.
Paige Parker broke the five-minute barrier in the 1500m run to finish out her freshman campaign with a five-second PB of 4:58.73.
Jason Springer ran a four-second PB of 16:14.70 in the 5,000m run.
Senior
Jaden Smith finished his track and field career with a 36.18m hammer throw.
