CEDARVILLE, OH - The track team spent their weekend split between the Cedarville Collegiate Invite on Friday and the IWU Midwest Classic on Saturday.
Evan Caldwell highlighted the weekend by breaking an eight-year-old school record in the 600m run with a three-second PB of 1:25.68 at Indiana Wesleyan. This was the last weekend of competition for the Trailblazers before the River States Conference Championships on Saturday, February 17th.
The Trailblazers had eight total PBs in their running events.Â
Three athletes PR'd in the mile.
Paige Parker came up with a ninth place finish out of 35 athletes and a second place finish in her heat in the mile with a 14-second PB of 5:33.20.
Abigail Kobs followed with an 11-second PB of 6:05.29.
Payton Herron won his heat in the mile with a PB of 4:40.08 and a 21st place overall finish out of 57 athletes.
The Trailblazers had two PBs in the 3,000m run.
Garrett Carver PR'd by three seconds with a time of 9:37.70 and
Jason Springer had a huge 45-second PB of 9:30.56.
Charlotte Hysell and
Chris Corsaro had PBs in both the 60m and 200m dash.Â
The Trailblazers are back in action on Saturday, February 17th for the River States Conference Championships.
