Circleville, OH - Ohio Christian University is excited to announce Jacob Rutter as the new Head Coach of the women's soccer program.
 
Coach Rutter is a former Trailblazer who played for OCU and brings five years of coaching experience from various levels. In addition to coaching, he has served as the Director of Upward Soccer for the past two years, a ministry dedicated to young athletes' spiritual formation and skill development.

Coach Rutter is also committed to developing well-rounded student-athletes and fostering a competitive program rooted in teamwork, spiritual growth, and Christ-centered character. He believes that soccer is a powerful platform for mentoring young women in their faith and equipping them for life beyond the soccer field. 

Off the field, he enjoys sharing his love of the game with his two daughters, ages 6 and 14. He and his wife, Brittney, are members of Crossroads Church. He looks forward to leading the Trailblazers and building a culture that lives out the mission and Christian values of Ohio Christian University. He strives to live out his favorite Bible verse, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, which says, "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

Coach Rutter has provided his insight for this upcoming season:

"It's an honor to return to Ohio Christian University and lead the women's soccer program. I'm excited to build a culture that challenges our student-athletes to grow in their skills, strengthen their faith, and honor Christ in everything they do - on and off the field. With the support of my family and our church community, I look forward to investing in these young women and helping them become leaders who impact the world of Christ."

In addition, Ally Coyle, Director of Athletics, is "thrilled to welcome Jacob Rutter as the new head coach of our women's soccer program.
