ESPORTS OPENS SEASON WITH WINNING RECORD

CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The Ohio Christian eSports team has opened the 2023-24 season with two wins and one loss in Call of Duty.

The Trailblazers opened the season with a 3-1 win over Capitol Technology University. Each map was extremely close despite the finals scoreline. The Trailblazers played well on both Search and Destroy, and Control with some trouble on Hardpoint. With star plays coming from Jaret "JAY" Gastin, and Brandon "snipingfox101" Benner to secure the win in the last Hardpoint game to snag the victory over Capitol Technology University.

The Trailblazers played excellently in their second game of the season against Highland Community College where they won 2 maps to 0 in dominating fashion. They had great improvement in their Hardpoint maps with great rotation skills from Jaret "Jay" Gastin. Ben "Smallhands" Taylor also had a huge impact holding points in Control.

Ohio Christian suffered their first lost of the season in a close battle against Talladega College in which they fell 2-1. The Trailblazers pulled out Hardpoint victories in games 1 and 4. Matt (Darkvader) McShane and Ben (Distrocate) Taylor highlighted the day despite the loss.

The Call of Duty team is back in action tonight, October 18th at 9 p.m. when they take on Lawrence Tech.
