Fort Wayne, IN - Ohio Christian University's volleyball team opened the 2026 season at the Onset Tournament in Fort Wayne, Indiana, finishing the weekend 1-3 while gaining experience against against NAIA and NCCAA teams.
The highlight of the weekend came from junior setter
Emma Hannah, who reached 1,000 career assists during the tournament. Hannah became just the fourth setter in Ohio Christian volleyball to reach the milestone.
"I am so happy I finally reached this milestone. I am so thankful for my teammates who are so fun to set and play beside, my coaches who continue to make me better, and my family who supports me no matter where I am," Hannah said. "I thank Jesus every day for the opportunity I have to play this sport and the people I get to do it with."
Ohio Christian opened the tournament Friday against the University of Saint Francis, falling 3-1 in a competitive match. The Trailblazers responded later that day with their first win of the season, sweeping West Virginia Tech, 3-0. With a number of new faces on the roster, Ohio Christian continues to develop its identity and find consistency early in the season.
Hannah's milestone served as one of the weekend's highlights as the Trailblazers begin their 2026 season.
Ohio Christian will host their home opener on Wednesday, August 26, against Wright State Lake University at 5:00 PM.
