Circlevile, OH - For the third year in a row, Ohio Christian Volleyball has been recognized with the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award. This year, AVCA recognized a record breaking 1,450 volleyball teams nationwide, highlighting the growing dedication athletes show not only on the court but in the classroom.
To be eligible, teams must maintain a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale. The Trailblazers exceeded this requirement and held a team GPA of 3.8 for the whole year while 8 players finished the year with a perfect 4.0 GPA:
"This award is a true testament to the discipline, balance, and commitment our athletes bring not just on the court but in the classroom," Head Coach Ally Coyle said. "I am proud of the way they've upheld the true meaning of being a student-athlete."
The accolades don't stop there. The Trailblazers have also been recognized with both Team Academic Honor Roll and the Team Academic Champion for NCCAA.
