Bridgeport, WV - The women's softball team played Salem University, where they lost both games. The score of the first game was 5-12 and the second was 2-3.
Lauryn Pate got the start for the Trailblazers in the first game, but came up short after allowing 8 runs. However, offensively, Pate went 3-5 on the day including a double, and 1 RBI.
Lexi King relieved Pate in the first game, and struck out 2 batters. King, offensively, hit a home run in the second game, to bring the Trailblazers a lead in the third inning.
Olivia Kelley ended the day with 1 hit and 1 RBI.
Kayla McGhee went 1-3 in the second game, with 1 RBI.
The Trailblazers return home this weekend in for a double header against Miami University Hamilton. The games are at 12:00pm and 2:00pm.
