OLIVET, MI -- The Trailblazers traveled to Olivet, MI to take on NCAA DIII, University of Olivet.
Karissa Buttelwerth continued her goal streak when she found the back of the net in the 23rd minute. This puts Buttelwerth at five for the season. Both teams exchanged shots on goal throughout the game until
Elizabeth Grooms iced it in the 78th minute when she placed a shot past the oncoming goalkeeper and defender.
Isabel Ruff kept her second clean sheet of the season and the Trailblazers put on a defensive display in the second half.
"I'm proud of the team," said Coach
Beth Arroyo. "They bounced back from the recent game at home and had a gritty performance. The University of Olivet put us under a lot of pressure but we did well defensively to keep them from scoring. We're also continuing to improve each game!"
