CIRCLEVILLE, OH -- The Trailblazers could not score against the Beavers thanks to the excellent keeper display from Bluffton.
From the first whistle, Ohio Christian placed Bluffton under pressure with several opportunities to take the lead. In the second half, it was Bluffton's turn to attack the Trailblazers including two opportunities that hit the crossbar late in the game. In the end, both teams could not capitalize on their chances and settled for a draw.
"Credit to Bluffton as they stretched our team," said Coach
Beth Arroyo. "We missed a couple good chances early in the game and at this level, when we don't finish, we allow other other team to get into a rhythm. Defensively, we worked hard and until the final whistle. Collectively from forwards to defense to our keeper, I'm proud of the defensive display at home against a quality side. I think some will be disappointed it wasn't a win, but games like this show grit, and we showed alot of it today."
The Trailblazers are back on the road with two trips to Michigan before facing RSC opponent, Indiana University Columbus.
