CIRCLEVILLE, OH -- Men's Soccer earned a gritty draw for their home opener.
In the first half, Bluffton immediately put the Trailblazers on the back foot. The early pressure earned the Beavers a penalty kick but it was David Spicer Jr. who made a big save. This would be a theme as Spicer Jr. continued to block shots throughout the first half until Bluffton finally found a break. The Beavers crossed the ball into the box before powering a shot into the top net. The score remained 1-0 heading into the half. Momentum shifted in the second half as the Trailblazers were on the front foot and earned a penalty kick. Senior Abid Alfadil stepped to the mark and confidently buried the pk. Ohio Christian would strike again when Ben Porter took a set piece and found Riley Dunham. Dunham leaped over the Beavers defense and found the net with a well placed header. The celebrations were cut short as Bluffton scored from a quick transition moments later. Both teams pressed for the winning goal but the game finished in a draw.
The Trailblazers return home as they face Alice Lloyd College.
