CIRCLEVILLE, OH – For the second year running, Ohio Christian University is honored to be named a 2023-2024 Champions of Character Five Star Institution, as announced by the national office. The Trailblazers earned 'Gold Level' status joining 131 institutions for the highest recognition.
The NAIA Champions of Character program was created with the intention of changing the culture of sport into a more character-driven environment. The NAIA encourages student-athletes, coaches, staff and fans to abide by five core values – integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership in both practice and competition.
Five Star Institutions are measured on their demonstrated commitment to the NAIA Champions of Character. They earn points based on their efforts in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus and character recognition in their athletic programs.
"It is such an honor to receive the NAIA Five-Star Insitution award," said Senior Woman Administrator Ally Coyle. "Our coaches and student-athletes have done a phenomenal job implementing the NAIA 5 Core Values in not only their sport, but in the classroom, on campus and throughout our community."
The Ohio Christian University athletic department is dedicated to pursuing excellence in and out of competition for the glory of God.
