Trailblazers Annouce Ally Coyle to Lead Athletics

CIRCLEVILLE, OH -- The Trailblazers have a new, yet familiar leader at the start of the new year. Ally Coyle, who previously served as the Senior Woman Administrator, has been promoted to Director of Athletics and is set to begin January 1.

"Ally's passion for OCU Trailblazer athletics is self-evident," said Dr. Don Tucker, Provost and Senior Executive Officer. "She brings to her new role a clear vision for developing young men and women who reflect our deeply held values of faith, character, service, and excellence."

Coyle returned to Ohio Christian in 2021 after accepting the role of Head Women's Volleyball Coach. After two years of working closely with athletic administration and committees on campus, she was promoted to Senior Woman Administrator. While in this role, Coyle assisted in policy changes, technological advances for recruitment and communication, community outreach, and academic excellence.

"I am thankful and honored to serve as the new Athletic Director here at Ohio Christian University, alongside continuing my passion of coaching volleyball," shared Coyle. "Serving as the Senior Woman's Administrator for the past year has only solidified my belief in the amazing impact that Ohio Christian Athletics can have on student athletes' lives. My prayer is that God will use me and all of our athletic staff to serve our athletes and community well, pursue academic excellence, train and compete to bring God Glory and equip student athletes for their future after OCU. I'm beyond excited about the future of Trailblazer Athletics and just grateful that my family and I get to be a part of it!"

In addition to her new responsibilities, Coyle will continue to coach women's volleyball. The combination of administrator and coach speaks volumes about her dedication to the development of athletics and student athletes. As a coach, Coyle has seen much success on and off the court. Her teams have consistently received accolades for academic excellence while proving to be a formidable and tough opponent. Coyle has started the process of transitioning to her new role while continuing to recruit mission fit student-athletes for volleyball.

We look forward to seeing Ohio Christian University thrive and contribute to the holistic growth of students by preparing world-impacting Christian servant leaders. Please join us in welcoming Ally Coyle to her new role and in celebrating the exciting future that lies ahead for Trailblazer Athletics.
