BECKLEY, WV - The softball team came up with a 1-1 day against West Virginia Tech on Saturday to move to 14-24 overall and 12-16 in conference play.
The Trailblazers took game one on
Hilarie Spitler's pitching and
Emma Hastings' save. Hastings was 2-4 at the plate with one double. while
Hannah Burton came up with two RBIs.
Tech opened game two with three-straight homers that the Trailblazers couldn't find the answer for.Â
Hastings tacked on her ninth RBI of the week in game two and finished the week with a .480 batting average.Â
Chandler Hayes was 2-3 in game two with two runs and one RBI. Hayes has the seventh-highest batting average in the RSC with a .392.
Kristin Gardner was 2-3 over two games with two RBIs, two runs and one double.
Jobi Allen was 2-3 in game two with one run.
The Trailblazers take on Point Park University four times this week to round out their regular season, beginning this Thursday, April 25th at 3 and 5 p.m. The team will honor their seniors at 2:30 p.m. and the first 75 OCU fans to arrive will receive a free Kona Ice.
