CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The softball team came up big to get two wins over conference newcomer IUPUC this afternoon. The Trailblazers move to 8-16 overall and 6-8 in the RSC with the sweep.
Karlee Steele had a big day at the plate, going 3-3 in game one with one RBI and two runs.Â
Chandler Hayes was 3-4 in game one with two RBIs and one double.
Roxi Herdman also batted in two runs.
Vanessa Metcalf was 2-3 with two runs in game one.
Hilarie Spitler pitched the win in game one, allowing just one earned run in 29 at bats and striking out five.
Emma Hastings got the win in game two, pitching six innings and allowing just two earned runs. She was 3-4 at the plate overall for the Trailblazers with one RBI, one run and two stolen bases.
The Trailblazers have a quick turnaround as they host St. Mary-of-the-Woods College tomorrow, March 30th at 1 and 3 p.m.
