SOFTBALL SPLITS WITH MIDWAY AS ROAD STRETCH CONTINUES

MIDWAY, KY - Softball went 1-1 in a doubleheader with Midway University on Saturday afternoon by scores of 3-1 and 2-5. The Trailblazers get back to .500 in conference play with the win, where they currently sit at 4-8 and 6-14 overall. 

Emma Hastings had a huge game to lead the Trailblazers to the win, with a two-run home run in the sixth inning on top of a hit and RBI in her only other at bat of the game. She tacked on a triple in game two to round out her impressive day of hitting.

Hilarie Spitler moved to 4-4, pitching the 3-1 win. She came up with four strikeouts and just one earned run in 25 at bats.

The Trailblazers finish out their home stretch on Tuesday, March 26th at 1 p.m. when they take on the University of Northwestern Ohio in a doubleheader.
