BASEBALL PUTS UP A COMBINED 43 RUNS TO SWEEP ALICE LLOYD

CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The bats were hot for the baseball team this weekend as they swept Alice Lloyd College in a three-game conference series by scores of 12-5, 15-3 and 16-1. Each game was the new highest-scoring game of the season for the Trailblazers as they move to 8-18 and 5-7 in conference play.

Spencer Crane had a three-run homer for his first bomb of the season in game one, which he followed in game three with an inside-the-park grand slam. He came up with six RBIs total in game three, going 3-4 from the plate and tacking on two runs.

Freshman Andrew Keener was big for the Trailblazers, batting .500 with a .556 on base percentage on the week. Keener had six hits in the series with five RBIs and five runs.

Tyler House, Ross Donaldson and John Santopadre were credited with the pitching wins. Santopadre pitched six strikeouts and no runs with just one walk in six innings in game three.

The Trailblazers will look to extend their four-game winning streak on Tuesday, March 26th when they host Kentucky Christian University at 2 p.m.
