CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The baseball team came to play on Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference single game against Bluefield University, coming up with a 13-9 win over the Rams. The Trailblazers move to 5-18 overall with the what was their highest-scoring game of the season.
Ohio Christian took an early 6-2 lead before giving up five runs in the sixth inning. The Trailblazers answered with three runs to tie it at nine to start the seventh.
Hayden Haines came up big in the eighth inning with a go-ahead two-run homer in his first at bat of the day to put the Trailblazers up 11-9.
Ross Donaldson struck out two of the three batters he faced in the final inning to secure the win.
Tyler Keller had a great day at the plate, going 2-2 with two RBIs, one run and one double.
Andrew Keener was 2-4 with two runs and one RBI.
The Trailblazers are home again this weekend for a conference series against Alice Lloyd College beginning at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 22nd.
