CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The baseball team got one win in their three-game, home opening series against Brescia University this weekend. The scores went 1-5, 5-4 and 1-11 as the Trailblazers move to 4-18 overall and 2-7 in conference play.
The Trailblazers' 5-4 win in game two came on a walk-off by
Trey Henry who singled to run in
Matt Bradley. Ohio Christian came back from a 4-0 deficit with five runs in the final two innings to take the win.
John Santopadre was credited with the win, pitching seven strikeouts in 23 at-bats.Â
Carter Smith had a solid weekend of hitting with two runs, two doubles, one RBI and five hits. He finished the weekend going 3-3 at the plate and scoring the lone run for the Trailblazers.
Freshman
Andrew Keener came up with three hits, two RBIs and two runs on the weekend.Â
The Trailblazers are back home this Wednesday, March 20th when they host Bluefield University in a single non-conference matchup at 2 p.m.
