CIRCLEVILLE, OH – The women's basketball team got their sixth straight win and moved to 18-5 and 9-3 in conference play with an 89-72 win over West Virginia Tech on Tuesday night. The Trailblazers currently sit at third overall in the River States Conference.
Haley Cox had a big game with 29 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals. She shot 10-15 from the field and a perfect 6-6 from the line.

Emma Koons came up with 19 points and six rebounds in the win.
Darcy Mitchell had a season-high 13 points with 11 in the first half.
The Trailblazers controlled early, going up 17-7 by the end of the first quarter.
Tech went on an 8-3 run halfway through the second quarter to close the gap to 25-23. Cox answered coming out of the timeout with a triple and-one to extend the lead to six. The Trailblazers couldn't get back in control, and the Golden Bears took a lead with a minute and a half left at 34-33.
An and-one from Mitchell gave the Trailblazers their lead back and they went into halftime up 39-36. Tech won the second quarter 29-22 and went from shooting 21.4% from the field in the first quarter to 54.2% in the second.
Cox had 16 points and five rebounds in the first half, while Mitchell followed with 11 points.
Koons came out of the locker room with back-to-back triples to help take the Trailblazers to an early 48-39 lead in the third quarter. The Trailblazers were back to form in the third quarter, winning It 29-17.
The Trailblazers got in some foul trouble and finished out the third quarter with a lot of bench players in but still managed an 89-72 win.
The Trailblazers turn their attention to a big conference matchup with undefeated conference opponent the University of Rio Grande on the road this Saturday, February 10
th at 1 p.m. The Trailblazers fell to the Red Storm in their first meeting in early December 107-88.
