Emma Koons had a career day in the women's basketball team's 87-74 road win over Alice Lloyd College last weekend. The junior came up with her first career triple-double and the fifth in Ohio Christian history, just one week after
Haley Cox had the fourth. The Trailblazers are now 17-5 and 8-3 in conference play after the win.
Koons had 29 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists to get the triple-double. She also tacked on two blocks and a steal. Koons sits at third in the River States Conference for scoring, averaging 19.7 points per game.
Ashley Deweese, the sixth-highest scorer in the RSC, came off her career-high 33 points against Point Park with 27 points for an average of 30 on the week.
Conference leader
Haley Cox came just shy of a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds.
Lily Shepherd came off the bench for 13 points.
The Trailblazers continue cruising towards the conference tournament this month and host West Virginia Tech this Wednesday, February 7th at 5:30 p.m.
