Wilmington, OH -- The Trailblazer cross country teams took part in the Jenna Strong Fall Classic hosted by Wilmington College October 18, 2024. Ohio Christian joined 23 other schools in an 8-kilometer race for the men and a 5-kilometer race for the women. There were 200 women's finishes and 248 men's finishers. Many of the Blazers ran personal bests on the day
Sr.
Corry Mientkiewicz led the men's team, placing 23rd in 26:22. This improves upon his 3rd place time on the all-time list in the program's history. Fr.
Jonah Kiess came across the finish line in 88th place in a personal best time of 28:03. Sr.
Jason Springer finished 92nd with a time of 28:10. Fr.
Baily Chabot Finished 159th in a time of 30:13.
The women's team was led by So.
Abigail Kobs' personal best performance of 20:01. This placed her 30th in the race and moved her up to 6th place on the all-time list in the program's history. So.
Impreza Rogers was next across the finish line in another personal best time of 20:03, that placed her 32nd in the race and moved her up to 8th on the all-time list in the program's history. Sr.
Lexie Engstrom ran a 20:19, which earned her 42nd place. The ladies team currently consists of the 6th [Kobs], 7th [Engstrom], 8th [Rogers], and 9th [
Paige Parker] fastest runners in school history.
The Trailblazer cross country teams head to Wright State University on October 25th for the Wild Bill Invite.
