CIRCLEVILLE, OH – The men's basketball came up with a statement win on Tuesday night against conference opponent Indiana University Southeast, topping the Grenadiers 99-57. Threes were the name of the game as the Trailblazers shot 23-45 from behind the arc.
The Trailblazers held the conference's leading scorer to just 12 points in his 22 minutes of play.
Four Trailblazers showed up with double digits in the win.
Cale Rammel led the way with a double-double of a career-high 25 points and ten rebounds. Rammel was 9-16 from the field and 7-13 from deep.
Levi Seiler contributed 17 points while
Titus Burns had 14 and
Zakai Alexander came up with 12.
The men opened the scoring on a 10-4 run in the first five minutes and maintained a solid lead for the majority of the first half. Seiler came up with ten points in the first ten minutes to get the offense rolling. And they kept rolling to a huge 50-27 first half.
Rammel was electric in the first half coming off the bench. He went on an 11-point run all his own over ten minutes in and came up with a total of 20 points in the first half on six triples. As a team, the Trailblazers were 12-23 from deep in the first half.
The Trailblazers went on a 12-2 run in the first four minutes of the second half to extend their lead and remained in control for the rest of the game.
