CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The women's basketball team came up with their tenth overall win in their first home game of 2024 as they took down conference opponent Indiana University Kokomo 67-61. Ohio Christian is now 10-4 overall and 2-2 in conference play.

Both teams struggled early, with Ohio Christian being the first to double digits with less than five minutes to play. The Trailblazers went down four with 1:33 to play in the first half but came back to take a three point lead by halftime. 

The Trailblazers controlled the game much better in the fourth quarter, opening the scoring with an 8-0 run to secure the 67-61 win. 

Haley Cox came up with her fourth double-double of the season with 27 points and a season-high 12 rebounds, putting her average on the week at 31 points and 10.5 rebounds. 

Emma Koons came up big for the Trailblazers with 20 points, four rebounds, five assists and three steals. Ashley Deweese had 11 points and six rebounds while JoLeigh Hamilton had eight boards.

January continues to be conference play heavy as the Trailblazers host Indiana University Southeast this Tuesday, January 9th at 5 p.m.
