CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The men's basketball team lost a heartbreaker to Indiana University Kokomo on Saturday afternoon 80-78. The Trailblazers battled it out with the Cougars, losing both the first and second halves by one point each. They are now 4-11 overall and are still looking for their first conference win.
Jimmy Salamone only needed five to hit his 1,000th career point but decided instead to come up with a season-high 29 points, along with six rebounds, five assists and three steals. Salamone shot 9-20 from the field, 5-11 from deep and 6-7 from the line.Â
Levi Seiler came up with 17 points while
Devon Miller flirted with a double-double at nine points and nine boards.Â
The Trailblazers had a 73-72 lead with two and a half minutes to play, but after the Cougars took back the lead, they held them off to secure the win.
Cale Rammel nearly had the game winner, hitting a buzzer beater from nearly halfway into the backcourt to get the final score within two.
Ohio Christian continues through January with more conference play as they host Indiana University Southeast on Tuesday, January 9th at 7 p.m.
