CIRCLEVILLE, OH – The Trailblazers held on against Oakland City University to lock in their third straight win 70-68. Ohio Christian moves to 7-11 and 3-5 in conference play with the win.
Titus Burns came up with 24 points, just one point shy of his career-high.
Levi Seiler came just short of a double-double with 15 points and at team-high nine rebounds.
The Trailblazers controlled the game early after tying it up at six seven minutes in. Ohio Christian held the lead for the entire first half, led by Burns with 14 points. Seiler came up with seven points and six rebounds in the first half.
The Trailblazers held the Mighty Oaks off from deep in the first half while they shot 15-37 from the field with five triples.
Oakland City gained some momentum halfway through the second half but were still down 11 at 49-38.
The Mighty Oaks got within two for the first time in the half with just under two minutes to play, but Burns answered with back-to-back buckets taking his total to 22 points, giving them enough of a cushion to pull out the win.
The Trailblazers stay home to host Brescia University this Saturday, January 20
th at 3 p.m.
