CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The men's soccer team battled it out with Great Lakes Christian College for the second time this season on Saturday afternoon to a much different result of a 2-2 tie.
Abid Alfadil and
Mamegor Seck netted the two goals in the home opener in the 11th and 70th minutes.
Alfadil's goal was the first on either side, coming off a corner and sailing to the far post. A deflection from the Crusader goalkeeper sent it in to put the Trailblazers ahead in the 11th minute.
The Crusaders leveled it shortly after halftime and then took the lead in the 65th minute. Seck answered off a free kick about 25 yards out that sailed in the upper right corner, out of the goalkeeper's reach.
As a team, the Trailblazers had 13 shots and eight on goal. Seck had three shots total, while
Junior Acosta also put up three shots, all on goal. Goalkeeper
Madior Mbaye came up with six saves.
The Trailblazers open conference play at home this Thursday, September 21st at 3:30 p.m. when they take on Indiana University Purdue University Columbus.
