CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The men's soccer team opened conference play on Thursday afternoon with a 2-1 loss to Indiana University Purdue University Columbus after a late winner for the Crimson Pride.
Junior Acosta notched the Trailblazers' lone goal in the 10th minute.
IUPUC answered in the 18th minute and the game was locked at 1-1 until the 85th minute when the Crimson Pride launched one from deep that gave them the win.
Acosta led the Trailblazer offense with three shots. As a whole, the Trailblazers put up six shots and two on goal.
Chase Pennell and
Valen Alvarado-Lorrin split time in goal with five saves a piece.
The Trailblazers stay home to continue conference play when they host Brescia University on Saturday, September 23rd at 2 p.m.
