CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The women's soccer team welcomed Great Lakes Christian College to campus for their home opener but were unable to top the Crusaders, falling 4-1. Sophomore
Syerra Metzler put in the lone goal for the Trailblazers in the 63rd minute.
It was the two teams' second meeting of the season, the first one going to GLCC 6-0. The Trailblazers move to 0-3 with the loss as they prepare for conference play.
With just one substitution, the Trailblazers showed much offensive and defensive improvement from earlier this season. Ohio Christian put up 12 shots and eight on goal.
Elizabeth Grooms had four shots with three on goal, while
Karissa Buttelwerth had three shots with one on goal. Goalkeeper
Alexis Dotson had 12 saves.Â
The Trailblazers are home again as they open conference play against Indiana University Purdue University Columbus at 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 21st.Â
