RIO GRANDE, OH - The volleyball team opened conference play with a 3-0 (16-25, 23-25, 26-28) loss to the University of Rio Grande on the road. The Trailblazers are now 5-7 this season with the loss.
The first set deficit dug the Trailblazers in a hole they were unable to get out of, despite the last two sets being a battle ending in a two-point margin.
Madison Blickenstaff had a solid all-around performance with 13 kills and eight digs.
Morgan Blakeman came up with nine kills and
Brittlyn Call had six.
Rylee Barr had 33 assists and six digs.
The Trailblazers stay on the road as they travel to Indiana University East for their second conference game. East has an overall record of 7-5.
