CEDARVILLE, OH - The women's basketball team is elevating the expectation they set for themselves, and they are continuing to live up to it. The Trailblazers took down Division II Cedarville University at their place for the first time in program history with a 79-74 win on Thursday night.
Ohio Christian had to hang tough to get their sixth win of the season, and tough they were. They never let Cedarville get more than eight points ahead, and took their first lead with less than three minutes to play.
The Yellow Jackets fouled with six seconds to go, down just two points.
JoLeigh Hamilton came up with a clutch offensive rebound off the missed free throw before knocking down two free throws of her own to secure the win for the Trailblazers.
Emma Koons led the Trailblazers with an all-around solid performance. The junior came up with 22 points on six triples, as well as eight rebounds, six assists and three steals. She shot 7-15 from the field and 6-10 from deep.

Haley Cox came up with 19 points, four assists and three steals in 35 minutes of play.
Ashley DeWeese dished out a team-high eight assists along with 18 points and three steals without leaving the floor. Senior
Darcy Mitchell came up with eight points and three assists.
The Trailblazers will look to carry this momentum into a tough week as they head to Mount Vernon Nazarene University on Tuesday, December 12th for a 5 p.m. contest, followed by a conference matchup with Shawnee State University at home on Saturday, December 16th at 1 p.m.
