WILLIAMSBURG, KY - The men's basketball team opened their 2023-24 season on Wednesday night with an 83-65 loss at the University of the Cumberlands.

Despite opening the game with a 6-1 run, the Trailblazers went into halftime down 41-29 after a 16-0 run by the Patriots. The scoreline in the second half was improved at 42-36, but not close enough for a comeback.

As a team, the Trailblazers shot 21-51 from the field, 11-31 from deep and 12-18 from the line. Levi Seiler contributed a team-high 13 points and nine rebounds in 33 minutes of play. Elisha Moore came up with 11 points while Titus Burns and Obie Bronston Jr. added nine each.

The Trailblazers are home for the first time this Saturday, November 4th for a 3 p.m. tipoff against Siena Heights University.
