Steve Payton is in his second full year as the compliance officer for the athletic department. He holds an AA in General Studies and BS in Management, both from Mt. Vernon Nazarene University, and a MA in Management and Leadership from Liberty University.

Steve has been with Ohio Christian University for over 17 years, in various positions within the Financial Aid Department, and in the Adult and Graduate Studies program as an online course facilitator. He currently serves as a financial aid coordinator, and a school certifying official for OCU’s military students. He is also an advisor on Ohio Christian's Title IX team.

Steve resides in Chillicothe, OH with his wife, Melissa, their 14-year-old twins, Andrew and Allison, and several pets.
