Michael Nickoli is in his second season as Ohio Christian's team orthopaedic surgeon. Dr. Nickoli graduated from Miami University Summa cum Laude in 2007 before moving on to medical school at The Ohio State University College of Medicine where he graduated as a Doctor of Medicine Cum Laude in 2012. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Northwestern University in 2017. Dr. Nickoli finished his Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh in 2018.
Since then, Dr. Nickoli has served as the team physician for high school, college and professional teams including the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University, Duquesne University, Robert Morris University, Northwestern University, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Blackhawks, Pittsburgh Penguins, Pittsburgh Steelers and many other teams and organizations.
Dr. Nickoli treats patients with a variety of orthopaedic conditions with a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries in athletes of all ages and ability levels. He has treated athletes from a wide range of sports including football, basketball, baseball, soccer, volleyball, ice hockey, gymnastics and many others. He utilizes the latest technology and minimally invasive techniques to provide expert care to his patients. He individualizes each patient’s treatment to return patients back to their activities.
Dr. Nickoli lives in central Ohio with his wife, two daughters and one son.
