Jacob Rutter

Jacob Rutter is the new Head Coach of Ohio Christian University's women's soccer program. A former Trailblazer himself, Jacob played for OCU and now brings five years of coaching experience at various levels back to the university. In addition to coaching, he has served as Director of Upward Soccer for the past two years, a ministry dedicated to the spiritual formation
and skill development of young athletes. Jacob is committed to developing well-rounded student-athletes and fostering a competitive program rooted in teamwork, spiritual growth, and Christ-centered character. He believes soccer is a powerful platform for mentoring young women in their faith and equipping them for life beyond the field. Off the field, he enjoys sharing his love of the game with his two daughters, ages 6 and 14. Jacob and his wife, Brittney, are members of Crossroads Church. He looks forward to leading the Trailblazers and building a culture that lives out the mission and Christian
values of Ohio Christian University.

Coach Rutter-
It's an honor to return to Ohio Christian University and lead the women's soccer program. I'm excited to build a culture that challenges our student-athletes to grow in their skills, strengthen their faith, and honor Christ in everything they do — on and off the field. With the support of my family and our church community, I look forward to investing in these young women and helping them become leaders who impact the world for Christ.

AD Quote-
"I am thrilled to welcome Jacob Rutter as the new head coach of our women’s soccer program," said Ally Coyle, Director of Athletics. His passion for the game, heart for the Lord, proven leadership, and commitment to student-athlete development make him the ideal person to lead our team into its next chapter.
