Ryan Walker

Ryan Walker is entering his first year as the head coach of the men's soccer program. Prior to this, Ryan served as the assistant coach of the Trailblazers for two seasons. 

Ryan graduated from Kentucky Christian University in 2018 with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Ministry. He was a member of the Knights soccer program from 2014-2017. While at Kentucky Christian he earned the following:  

  • NCCAA 1st Team All-American / 2015, 16, 17
  • USCA/NSCAA 1st Team All-American / 2015, 16, 17
  • NCCAA Scholar-Athlete / 2016, 17
  • USCA/NSCAA Scholar-Athlete / 2016, 17
  • NCCAA National All-Tournament Team / 2015
  • NCCAA National Defensive Player of the Week (3) / 2015, 17(2)
  • NCCAA Mideast Region Champion / 2015, 17
  • NCCAA Mideast 1st Team All-Region / 2015, 16, 17
  • NCCAA Mideast 2nd Team All-Region / 2014

He also earned the Kyle Rote, Jr. Award in 2017, which is presented to the outstanding Division I & II NCCAA Christian men’s soccer players of the nation, who enhanced the Christian purpose of athletics, showed excellence in Christian athletic competition, and perpetuated the Christian philosophy and faith in the NCCAA institutions across the nation, during the National Men’s Soccer I & II Championships.

Ryan served as the assistant coach for Kentucky Christian during the 2018 season where they finished Mideast Region Champions and runner-up in the NCCAA Division II National Championship.  

In 2019 Ryan was honored as the 20th athlete and 1st men's soccer player to have his Jersey Retired at Kentucky Christian University. 

He currently lives in Grove City, OH with his wife Bailey Walker, who is also on staff with OCU women's volleyball program, their daughter Ruth, and their two cats Loki and Sylvie. He serves at Covenant Church as a small group leader and sound board operator.
