Ben Bailey enters his first season as head coach of the Ohio Christian University men’s and women’s golf programs, bringing a strong background as both a student-athlete and coach within the Trailblazer community.
A proud OCU alumnus, Bailey earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management in 2016. During his undergraduate years, he was a member of the men’s basketball team from 2012 to 2015. He later joined the golf program, competing for two seasons from 2015 to 2017 while simultaneously pursuing his MBA, which he completed in 2018. As a golfer, Bailey earned Second Team All-Conference honors in the River States Conference (NAIA) in 2016.
Bailey began his coaching career at the high school level, serving as an assistant coach for the Westfall High School girls golf team from 2022 to 2024. During his tenure, the team achieved significant success, qualifying for three consecutive state championship appearances.
In 2025, Bailey returned to his alma mater as an assistant golf coach, contributing to the continued development of the program. He was recently promoted to head coach following the retirement of coach Mark Taylor.
“I am excited and proud to be back here at OCU and coaching the men’s and women’s golf program,” said Bailey. “Mark Taylor has done a wonderful job building the foundation of this program, and I hope to continue building upon that.”
