Grand Rapids, MI - The men's soccer team fell 2-0 to Grace Christian University on Thursday in its third match of the season.
The Trailblazers found themselves in an early deficit after Grace Christian scored in the sixth minute to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead. The Tigers added a second goal in about halfway through the first half of the game.Â
Ohio Christian entered halftime trailing 2-0 but came out with increased offensive pressure in the second half. The Blazers recorded 10 shots after the break, while holding Grace Christian to just five second-half shots. OCU also finished with a 9-4 advantage in corner kicks.Â
Yves Terson Exavier led the Trailblazers offensively with five shots, including three on goal.
Eliel Kisoka added three shots with two on target, while
William Boorman recorded two shots, both of which were on goal, as well.Â
Junior goalie,
David Spicer Jr. ended the game with five saves for the Trailblazers.Â
The Trailblazers will stay in Michigan as they travel to University of Michigan Dearborn on Saturday for a 3:00 PM start.Â
