Allegheny, PA - The baseball team played Penn State Greater Allegheny where they won two games in a three game series.
Game 1 Summary
The game remained pretty quiet until the sixth inning, when
Karson Runk scored on a error. The Blazers remained hot the next couple innings, where
Reid Evans doubled in the eighth, followed by Mathew Keener's home run in the ninth, taking a 6-0 lead against the Lions. Unfortunately, the Lions' bats were moving in the ninth inning and were able to walk the game off and score seven runs. Final Score: 6-7.
Game 2 Summary
Stephen Larkins double started the Blazers off with a run in the second inning, following by Evans ground out to allow Larkins to Score. The Blazers were able to take a 5-0 by the sixth inning to secure the win. Starting pitcher,
Braden Williams, completed the game with a shutout. Final Score: 5-0.
Game 3 Summary
The Blazers' bats were moving in the last game of the series. They too a 6-0 lead after
Ryota Haga hit a grand slam in the top of the first. Final Score: 10-4.
