Box Score 2 Berea, KY & Wilmore, KY - The Ohio Christian women's soccer team opened the season with back-to-back road games, falling 1-2 at Berea College on Friday and then 0-5 to Asbury University on Saturday afternoon/
Game #1 in Berea
The Trailblazers were able to hold a close game despite the Bears scoring in the first half. However,
Kyla Harvey scored a goal for the Blazers right before half time, it was her first goal of the season.
Freshman goalkeeper, Rachel Zeiders, ended the game with seven saves to keep the Bears from scoring further. Unfortunately, the winning goal was made with just 5 minutes left in the game.
Game #2 in Asbury
The Eagles came out strong by scoring three goals in the first half and going on to win 0-5 by the end of the game. Despite this defeat, Zeiders once again was able to help by having six saves against Asbury's eleven shots made in the game.
The Trailblazers return home tomorrow to host Alice Lloyd College in search of their first win of the season. The game begins at 1:00pm.
