Circleville, OH - The Ohio Christian's men's soccer team delivered a dominant performance yesterday afternoon, powering past Institute for God with a phenomenal 8-0 victory.
The tone was set early when
Mason Sims opened the scoring just over a minute into the match, finishing off a pass from
Zane Jimison. OCU continued to press forward and doubled its lead before half time, as
Caleb Rose made a penalty kick. Before halftime,
Avery Brengelman scored his first goal of the day, sending the Blazers into halftime with a 3-0 lead.
The second half belonged to OCU, with the Trailblazers scoring five more goals, with
Joshua Cook and
William Boorman scoring two of those five.
Avery Brengelman scored three total goals, performing a hat trick.
The Trailblazers travel to Alice Lloyd on Thursday for a 5:00pm game where they hope to secure another win.
