Circleville, OH - The men's baseball team played Alice Lloyd College where they swept the four game series. The scores were 6-4, 2-1, 8-3, and 4-3. The Trailblazers walked off game two and game four of the series.
Game 1 Highlights:
Tyler House got the start for the game and pitched a complete game. House struck out 5 batters and gave up 2 earned runs.
Benjamin Sterritt went 2-3 at the plate and had 2 RBIs and a double.
Ridge Clark ended the first game with 1 hit and 2 RBIs.
Final Score: 6-4
Game 2 Highlights:
Logan Smith started for the Trailblazers and struck out 6 batters and allowed 1 earned run.
Lucas Alexander relieved him and struck out 3 batters and allowed 0 walks and 2 hits.
Offensively,
DJ Crocker went 1-3 at the plate with a double and 1 RBI.
Reid Evans single in the 8th inning allowed
Matt Bradley to score from third, walking off the game.
Final Score: 2-1
Game 3 Highlights:
The Trailblazers were able to produce more runs against the Eagles in game 3 of the series with the help of a solid pitching outing from the bullpen.
John Santopadre got his second start of the season. Since coming back from an injury, he pitched 1.2 innings, struck out 2 and allowed 2 earned runs.
Reid Evans relieved him and gave up 0 runs.
Stephen Larkins went 3-3 at the plate with 2 RBIs, 2 runs scored, and 2 stolen bases.
Andrew Keener also had a very good offensive game, going 3-3 with 4 RBIs.
Final Score: 8-3
Game 4 Highlights:
Starting his first game since his no hitter,
Braden Williams started for the Trailblazers and allowed 2 earned runs and struck out 2 batters.
Stephen Larkins had another offensive outing, going 2-3 with 2 RBIs,
The Trailblazers walked the game off in the 8th inning, again, after a series of errors in the field from the Eagles.
Final Score: 4-3
The Trailblazers play their final season series this weekend where they will play Miami University Middletown at home. Friday's game is at 12:30pm and Saturday's games are at 1:00pm and 4:00pm.
