OCU Heads to NCCAA Championship After Historic Season Led by Coach of the Year

Circleville, OH - The Ohio Christian University Trailblazers enter the NCCAA Division I championship this week, riding one of the most historic seasons in program history. For the first time ever, OCU claimed the Mideast Regional Championship, punching their ticket to the national stage with undeniable momentum.

Their dominance has been clear all year long—a 27–3 regular-season record, including a perfect, undefeated run at home that turned the Maxwell Center into one of the toughest environments in the conference. The Trailblazers also captured the Emileigh Jo Cooper Tournament Championship, proving early on that this group had championship potential.

OCU earned three first-place rankings in the coaches poll throughout the year and now sits No. 5 in the nation, the highest ranking in program history.

Individually, the milestones have been just as impressive. Head Coach Ally Coyle secured her 100th career win, continuing to build a powerhouse in Circleville. On the court, DS, Josie Buck reached the 1,000-dig mark in October, a moment celebrated in front of a home crowd during the Wilmington game.

Additionally, Head Coach Ally Coyle and several players received accolades this season. Coach Coyle was named Mid-East Region Coach of the Year, following the team's success this season including winning the Mideast Regional Tournament.

The following received the awards listed:

First Team All-Region: Kennedy Bowling (JR), Sophie Coleman (JR)
