RIO GRANDE, OH - This past weekend the Volleyball team headed down to Rio Grande, Ohio where they saw some tough competition and went 0-4 on the weekend.
In their first game against Lindsey Wilson College, the Trailblazers lost in 3 sets (20-25, 19-25, 13-25).
Brooklyn Borges led the team with 6 kills,
Bralyn Stockman and
Emilia Hoppe both had 2 blocks each,
Emma Hannah had 10 assists, while
Sophie Coleman led with 15 digs.
Lilly Smith led the team with 3 aces for the game.
The Lady Trailblazers finished their Friday play with a game against Shawnee State where they lost in 3 sets again (24-26, 22-25, 20-25).
Brooklyn Borges and
Kennedy Bowling led the team with 8 kills each. Borges also had 7 blocks on the game,
Emma Hannah led with 18 assists and
Lilly Smith and
Josie Buck both led with 12 digs each.
The Trailblazers started off Saturday with a tough loss to Cumberland University in 5 sets ( 25-20, 19-25, 25-23, 16-25, 7-15).
Hailey Sembach and
Kennedy Bowling led the team with 7 kills each, Borges had 7 blocks on the game, with
Emma Hannah having 11 assists and
Allison Haines adding 10.
Josie Buck led the team with 19 digs while Coleman added 18 herself.
For their last game, the Trailblazers ended the weekend with a 3-0 loss to the University of Rio Grande (16-25, 16-25, 13-25).

Emma Hannah led with 9 assists, while
Sophie Coleman led with 10 digs.
The Trailblazers look to bounce back in their home opener against Midway University this Tuesday starting at 7pm.
