PORTSMOUTH, OH - The baseball team couldn't stop a dominant Shawnee State offense last weekend, going 0-3 on the weekend by scores of 25-8, 18-3 and 14-6. The sweep takes them to fifth in the RSC East and moves their record to 8-13 in conference play.
Despite the losses there were several promising individual performances at the plate.
Andrew Keener went 3-4 at the plate in game one with three runs and a double. He was 6-10 on the weekend.
Benjamin Sterritt notched his first homer of the season in the third game, going 2-2 at the plate with three RBIs. Sterritt was 5-7 at the plate on the weekend.
The Trailblazers will look to bounce back this weekend as they host West Virginia Tech in a critical three-game series. The team will honor their seniors before the first pitch of the 12 p.m. game on Saturday, April 20th.
