CIRCLEVILLE, OH - Senior
Haley Cox tacked on yet another accolade to her incredible career to round out the regular season, breaking the all-time single-game scoring record with a career-high 45 points. The Trailblazers came up with an 86-74 win over Alice Lloyd College on Senior Day to finish the regular season with a record of 20-8 and 11-6 in conference play.
The Trailblazers tied the best season conference record, set in the 2016-17 season with their 11-6 record.
As things stand at the time this article was published, the Trailblazers will enter the River States Conference Championships as a No. 4 seed, meaning they will host the No. 5 seed on Wednesday, February 28th at 6 p.m.
Ohio Christian honored three seniors in the regular season finale,
Haley Cox,
Darcy Mitchell and
Sophia Hoyt. The three seniors have made a tremendous impact on the program and will be greatly missed.
Cox led the way for the Trailblazers with her 45 points, six rebounds, three assists and four steals. She shot 16-26 from the field, 6-13 from deep and 7-10 from the line.
Emma Koons came up with 16 points, six rebounds, five steals and three assists in just 26 minutes of play.
Darcy Mitchell came up with six points and six assists on her senior day.
