CHILLICOTHE, OH - The baseball team took the short trip to the VA Memorial Stadium in Chillicothe on Tuesday to take on Miami University-Hamilton for the second time this season. The Trailblazers took an early 5-1 lead in the fourth inning but couldn't hold it as the Harriers took the win 9-6 with a strong last three innings.
The Trailblazers move to 1-10 with the loss as conference play looms in less than two weeks.
Carter Smith batted in two runs on a triple in the third inning to open the scoring. Benamin Sterritt came up with two runs and one RBI in five at-bats.
Caleb Haller had a double and an RBI to extend the early lead.
Ross Donaldson pitched six innings and came up with six strikeouts in 21 at-bats. He allowed just one earned run.
The Trailblazers turn their attention to their next three-game series at Bluefield University this weekend with a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 23rd and one game on Saturday, February 24th at 1 p.m.
