CIRCLEVILLE, OH – The Trailblazers lost a heartbreaker to conference leader No. 21 Point Park University on Tuesday night 75-72. They faced 17 lead changes in a battle that broke their six-game winning streak. The Trailblazers are now 10-12 overall and 5-6 in conference.
Five Trailblazers were in double digits in what was a well-rounded performance despite the loss.
Elisha Moore was just one shy of his career-high with 18 points on all triples. He was 6-8 overall on shooting and 6-7 from deep with one missed free throw.
Levi Seiler followed with 17 points, six rebounds and three steals.
Titus Burns and
Devon Miller had 12 points each while Miller added six rebounds and
Jimmy Salamone had 11 points and five rebounds.
The first half was a battle with five lead changes that finished with a 34-34 tie headed into the locker room. Moore led the way with nine points but all five starters had five points or more.
The Trailblazers went on a 12-3 run to start the second half. The Pioneers took back the lead with ten minutes to play 49-46. There were 12 lead changes in the second half.
The Trailblazers travel to Alice Lloyd College on Saturday for a 3 p.m. tip-off.
