CIRCLEVILLE, OH – The men's basketball team couldn't top Kent State Tuscarawas on Tuesday evening, falling 69-64. They move to 2-4 overall with the loss.
 
River States Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week Levi Seiler led the Trailblazer offense with 17 points and eight rebounds. Cale Rammel had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds while Jimmy Salamone contributed nine points.
 
The Trailblazers shot 39.7% from the field and 32.4% from deep. The Golden Eagles made just one triple but were shooting 26-57 from the field and 15-25 from the line.
 
The Trailblazers struggled to shake the Golden Eagles in the first half, going into the locker room up 38-30 after a late 7-0 run by Kent State Tuscarawas. Ohio Christian shot 14-33 from the field in the first half and 8-18 from deep. Rammel was the lone Trailblazer in double digits at halftime with 10. Seiler had nine points and four rebounds in the first half.
 
Scoring was slow to start the second half, with the Golden Eagles taking the first three minutes 3-0. Kent State got within three eight minutes into the second half at 47-44. They tied it up at 47. They took their first lead of the half with nine minutes to play at 51-49.
 
The Trailblazers got back in at 57 with just under four minutes to play. They got the lead back with a triple from Salamone at 60-59, but were unable to hold it, falling 69-64.
 
Ohio Christian has a two-game road stretch starting this Saturday, November 18^th when they head to Great Lakes Christian College for a 3 p.m. tipoff.
