OAKLAND CITY, IN - The men's basketball team snagged their first two wins of the season at the Oakland City shootuout this weekend against the University of Northwestern Ohio on Friday by a score of 83-70 and Central Baptist College on Saturday by a score of 80-70. Their record moves to 2-3 with the wins.
The Trailblazers rode
Levi Seiler's double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds to the win over UNOH on Friday. Seiler shot 9-19 from the field and was perfect from the line at 6-6.
Chapman Faulkner came up with 13 points on 4-6 shooting for two and 3-5 shooting for three.
Cale Rammel was the last Trailblazer in double digits with 12 points and five rebounds.
As a team, the Trailblazers shot 43.5% from the field and 38.7% from deep.
Seiler led the way once again in Saturday's win with 21 points and eight rebounds. Three other Trailblazers hit double digits, with
Jimmy Salamone coming up with 13 points and four rebounds in just 15 minutes of play.
Zakai Alexander had 11 points and five rebounds while
Chris Richardson Jr. came up with 10 points and four rebounds.
The Trailblazers shot an improved 48.1% on Saturday and 41.7% from behind the arc.
