CIRCLEVILLE, OH – With 20 assists on the night, junior Rylee Barr passed the 2,000 career assists mark in a 3-0 loss (25-18, 25-22, 25-21) to Indiana University East Tuesday evening. The Trailblazers are now 10-17 and 5-10 in conference play.
 
The game was the annual Yellow Game in honor of Mason Roese and his battle with Ewings Sarcoma that took his life in November 2021.
 
Madison Blickenstaff had eight kills on the night and two blocks. Morgan Blakeman contributed seven kills, three digs and six receptions. Brittlyn Call added five kills.
 
Sophie Coleman came up with 19 digs and 14 receptions with zero errors, while Caraline Ferguson had 13 digs, 14 receptions and zero errors.
 
The Trailblazers took and kept the lead early before the Red Wolves tied it up at 15. Indiana East had control for the rest of the set, taking it 25-18.
 
The Trailblazers battled early in the second set as well, before it seemed the Red Wolves had control again. Ohio Christian went on a 5-0 run rounded out by an ace from Coleman to tie it up at 19 and force an IU East timeout. They were unable to finish it and the Red Wolves rounded out the second 25-22.
 
The Trailblazers gained some serious momentum at the end of the third set, following Barr's 2000^th assists. They came within one at 20-19 but fell 25-21.
 
Ohio Christian heads to Alice Lloyd College for another conference matchup this Friday, October 27^th at 5 p.m.
